
Alexander is currently working in the financial services industry at one of the major Canadian financial institutions. He graduated with a Specialized Honours in Finance from York University, and is currently pursuing the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.
As a proactive finance student, he successfully led his colleagues to a first place finish in the 2008 National Business and Technology Conference: eBay Consulting Case Competition. The following year, he won the 2009 National Business and Technology Conference: Who wants to be a CEO Challenge among top business students across Canada.
As a student leader at York University, he was rewarded with the Shining Stars Award for successfully transforming a failing student club into a national entity called the National Finance Students Association (NFSA).
He also established a strong desire to extend his knowledge beyond his undergraduate degree by obtaining a certification in Demand-Driven Supply Chain Management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, as well as Bloomberg certification in Fixed Income and Equity from Columbia University.
In the past, Alexander served as the founding President and Chairman of the National Finance Students Association, Business Development Advisor at Arbitrage Magazine, Vice President (External) of York Business Network and the Lead Ambassador (York University) of the National Business and Technology Conference.
