They tell you it's not what you know, but who you know. But for the very fortunate, it can be both. As Director of Mentorship, Audrey is excited to connect newcomers with senior members of their industry in order to help people make those meaningful connections that enhance their professional growth and learning. Having had numerous mentors guide her thus far in moulding her career path, she knew that the perfect way for her to give back to the community was by helping others enjoy the same experience she did.
Audrey is a graduate of the University of Toronto with an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Distinction) in Economics, Political Science and East Asian Studies. Having had a long history of volunteering and working in marketing roles, from film festivals to IT companies to non-profit organizations, it was a natural step for her to progress on to her current position in the marketing department at Bell Mobility. Her goal is to rise to a senior level marketing position in a large company while juggling her varied interests in areas like community service and entrepreneurship, as well as cooking and eating her way through the GTA.
She is also the founder and president of Tasty Tours, a sweets walking tour of Toronto neighbourhoods, where participants learn more about the history of sweets and the local sweet stores while chowing down on chocolates, cupcakes and more. Treat yourself at tastytourstoronto.com.
