Lisa graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, majoring in Industrial Relations and Anthropology. She then went on to post-graduate studies in Human Resources Management (HRM) at Humber College. Armed with a B.A. and HRM certificate, Lisa began her career in Human Resources at Yellow Pages Group, Canada's leading local commercial search provider and largest directory publisher. She continued to expand her HR knowledge and skills while working as an HR Generalist at Shoppers Drug Mart, the leader in Canada's retail drugstore marketplace and the number one provider of pharmacy products and services. She is currently pursuing her Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation.

Lisa is passionate about Toronto and giving back to the community. She volunteers at CultureLink, a community-based organization that facilitates the settlement of newcomers to Toronto and participated in the CN Tower's Stair Climb for United Way. She is delighted about her new undertaking with NAAAP and is looking forward to bringing her HR knowledge and experience to the Director of Mentorship role. Ever the HR Professional, Lisa is a big advocate of professional development and is excited to be involved in the promotion and facilitation of the Mentorship Program.

Recently, Lisa has taken some time to broaden her horizons and fulfill a lifelong desire to travel. She returned to Toronto recently after travelling abroad for the past six months. Her travels took her to California, New Zealand, Australia, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong and China.
